Job Requirements

Head Counselor

Seashore Day Camp has been giving children exceptional summers for 95 years because we hire the BEST counselors.  To join our team, candidates must be certified teachers, coaches, or college students majoring in education or recreation, who enjoy working with children, are energetic, exude patience, and know-how to make summers fun. Applicants need to be able to create a positive environment in their groups where campers feel a strong athletic background is preferred. To qualify for our top salary range, a CDL or willingness to get a CDL would be a real plus.  We also offer a generous childcare package for those who are hired and want their children to attend Seashore Day Camp.

Junior Counselor

Candidates will assist the head counselor to give children a great summer. They will help with athletics, swimming, art, trips, beach activities, team building, and making sure campers adhere toCovid-19 protocols. Applicants must enjoy working with children and be energetic, cooperative, patient, and positive role models. Preference will be given to those with an athletic and aquatics background. Successful candidates can qualify for lifeguard, ropes course, and/or CPR certification.

Art Counselor

Seashore also hires art counselors for its expansive arts and craft and jewelry-making program. Candidates should be art teachers or college students majoring in art with experience in a school or day camp art setting. They should be creative, well organized and able to teach children how to make fun projects throughout the summer, using a wide range of media. We offer a generous childcare package to the right candidate.
