Seashore Voted The 2020 Parents’ Pick For Camp in Monmouth County

Welcome to Seashore Day Camp in Monmouth County. Seashore accomplished the impossible for Camp 2020. Despite COVID-19 restrictions and the most challenging weather in our history, we found a way to give campers an exceptional summer. Following protocols, everyone remained healthy, safe and had such a good time, three quarters of those who were here (and some who weren’t) are already enrolled for Camp 2021, our big 95th anniversary.

If you want to be sure your child will have the most fun next summer in a safe environment adapted to COVID-19 protocols, or whatever the world throws our way, Seashore is the place to be. The landmark camp has been the SHORE CHOICE with generations of area families for 95 years.

Opening in 1926 as the first day camp in New Jersey, Seashore pioneered an industry that has benefited more than 45,000 area children. Has set the standard for what camp should be for nine and a half decades. Was voted 2020 MOST LOVED ALL AROUND CAMP in a poll released by Hulafrog. Was voted Best Day Camp in Monmouth County three years in a row. And won 2011-2019 Asbury Park Press Readers Choice Awards.

Ocean Breezes, Water Sports & Nonstop Fun

Just a block from the Long Branch beach, Seashore keeps campers cool on hot days with ocean breezes. Swim instruction second to none. Water sports that rival Caribbean vacations. And the most exciting variety of activities and special events you’ll find anywhere.

For those who prefer the arts, there is also a Theater Camp, which gives aspiring actors their start “On Broadway.” Participants not only develop the acting, poise and stage presence to put on a full-scale production. To learn more about acting, they typically go to three Broadway Tony winners and take workshops with stars in the shows they see. (With Broadway shuttered, last summer we offered song and dance workshops with top stars in our theater and via Zoom). Since they couldn’t put on a show, they filmed and presented Matilda The Movie. In addition, to give older children an athletic edge, Seashore offers a wide range of specialty surf and sports camps.

For parents’ convenience, there is free door-to-door transportation, free childcare starting at 7:30a.m. for those who have to be at work early and extended care for an additional fee until 6p.m.

We know we’ve got it right when Week 8 comes and (even with the challenges of Camp 2020), the energy level is still running so high, campers do not want the program to end.
